Our 3rd Life After High School Conference was held on November 15, 2008 at White Plains High School in New York, which also co-sponsored this program.

Our Speakers included Jo Anne Simon, Esq., Christina Cacioppo Bertsch, and Jean Baldassare, Director of Disability Services at Manhattanville College.

Next, we heard from representatives from several colleges with strong programs for students who learn differently: Mitchell College, the University of Arizona SALT Center, Manhattanville College, the New York Institute of Technology Vocational Independence Program and Fairleigh Dickinson University.

The students, parents and guidance counselors who attended then had the opportunity to meet individually with our speakers and the college representatives, to get more information and to ask specific questions.

See what the Conference attendees had to say about this program …

“Thank you so much for helping me feel less overwhelmed”

“This Conference was exactly what we needed… Great job!”

“This really opened my eyes about what I need to do to help my son choose colleges…”

“I am so glad I attended!”
